Leon Cupra R 225
I've been looking for the front recaros for an age now with no joy.

I've been offered a cupra full black leather trim for my R 225,but i'am not to sure weather its a good move to install it.

Whats peoples views ?

Thanks.

Yep the Recs, member "ben_Edwards30" had them about 6weeks+ ago for swap for standard R cloth because his baby seat wouldn't fit in the back. I shoulda travelled really but was mega busy

I chose the wrong option on tge poll  lol I think leathers are yo heavy tbh there and extra 20 kg per seat :-o lol altho I've been offered some myself full electric and can't decide  it's a good selling point ;) not that I'm gunna be selling for a while ;)

id go cloth myself, dont really think the cupra seats suit leather. If you had of said 5 door R32 leather then it would be a different story lol but id stick with trying to source some recs

Leather doesn't wear well?? I have a set of '99 S3 Leather recaros and they are as new so dont think this is true, my original interior was the full electric leather and they here in good condition to, it all depends on the mileage and how its been looked after leather needs more attention than cloth. I have seen loads of threads on 2-3 year old LCR cloth interior with wear problems, in an ideal world part leather/alcantara is the best combo but imo leather is better than cloth, leather will always out last cloth.

as phill said s3 leathers are the way to go. i have a set in my car and they are great. they do need a small bit more tlc but they are well worht it. best money i have ever spent.. get some gliptone and treat the eats a few times a year and they are still like new. have often seen cloth seats suffer from bolster wear more so now as they are getting older..
i dont think the leathers in the cupra were recaros do??
