When i finally pick up my cupra i will be taking a drive through France and was wondering if i will have to adapt the headlights but im sure i read somewhere that they automatically adjust via gps is this true?

I bought a European driving kit recently, it included deflectors for the Leon LED lights.

As others have said,you don't need to do anything they are fine as long as your not planning on being abroad for months
personally if it was me I'd be tempted to stick some headlight stickers on or at least carry a copy of the page in the manual that explains about them being ok to use in Europe.
As the CESM'S just love to ticket UK motorists and if your French is like mine it's very hard to get across to a ticket happy French plod that the owners manual says you don't need beam deflectors

If you think the French are bad, try the Spanish Guardia Civil Trafico.
They make the rules as they go along and as a visitor they only accept on the spot cash fines.

UK LED headlights are not flat beamed in the true sense - still kick up to near side of road in UK. Hence BFG light test question Being asked in one of the other threads. However driven mine extensively across Europe without deflectors and never been flashed by motorists coming the other way which is a pretty good indicator or pulled over by Mr Plod.
I travel to France quite extensively, and I was worried about the lights too.
I emailed SEAT, who replied (as expected) saying that the lights were suitable for use abroad with no adjustments. I then just ran their email through Google Translate into French, printed it and shoved it in the glovebox.
I also carry a totally useless set of spare bulbs (from my old Vectra), just in case Monsieur Plod wants to see those. I figured if a copper is too daft to realise that the Leon doesn't need spare bulbs, he'll be too daft to realise the ones I proffer won't fit...
