I've inadvertently put my key fob (2023 Mk4 Cupra Leon) through an environmentally friendly eco wash at 40 degrees for a couple of hours. I took the cover off, dried as best I could and then put in a bowl of rice next to a warm radiator. After a few days I put the battery back in and it seems to have worked fine (I won't share the full story of accidentally unlocking the car and opening all the windows when we had an inch of snow falling...).
Anyway, I digress - I took the cover off (the battery side cover) but the side with the buttons also came off easily. For the life of me I can't get the front cover back on - anyone know if I need to take the internals out from the back before I can put the front cover back on?
