so i have a MK3 seat Leon fr 1.4 150. Just shy of 60k miles. I Had a strong small of fuel followed by epc light and loss of power. Read fault code and got back P10200 (Fuel pressure regulation value above upper control limit) VAG reader showed misfire in cylinders 3 and 4. So injectors from 1 and 2 where swapped to 3 and 4 to see if the misfire followed but it didnt. Just wondering if anyone has had this issue and can help out. Thanks!
 
No sign of fuel having leaked from a ruptured injector seal?

Did you actually swop the injectors over - or just swopped spark plug coils over?

I'm just asking this because most people would have started a misfiring investigation by swopping spark plug coils over as that is easy/quick to do, as opposed to the work involved with swapping fuel injectors over.
 
No sign of fuel just a strong smell through out the car. Plugs and coils were all swapped first. Then the injectors where swapped over to cylinders 1 and 2 from 3 and 4 to see if the misfire followed but it didn’t. The fault seems to be intermittent so could it potentially be an electrical problem somewhere?
 
P1020 fuel rail/system pressure too high is either; fuel pressure sensor, fuel pressure control valve or fuel pump according to my data.
 
Are you aware of the fuel rail bolt issue in the EA211, insufficiently torqued in the factory and loosening/breaking from vibration? That obviously leads to fuel leaks for many cases. There is a TSB, resolution varies from new bolts to new rail and/or injectors.

If you've swapped injectors around you will likely have caught this, but I suppose if intermittent - not happened since you reassembled - or just that seals or seats have been additionally damaged and need attention, it's worth knowing about.
 
Update: replaced fuel pressure sensor and it ran okay for 130 miles. Set off to work and 30 seconds into the journey I Heard a click which sounded like it came from the back. (Could be my ears tho) Then the car went back into limp mode and the epc light was back. Left it for a few hours once I arrived at work and was greeted with an engine light,/ to go along with it and the engine would shut down not long after being started. I Tried to read for new codes but I still got back P12000. Left it again till lunch and I had the ignition on and off a few times and on the final time I heard that click again straight after the pump primed. So I started it up and there was no epc light and it didn’t cut out on me. But I still have a check engine light. Anyone got any ideas?

So could still be fuel pressure control valve or fuel pump?
Fuel pump is under your rear seat - so if you heard a noise from the back, that could relate to your pump?
 
I’ve ordered a new hpfp as couldn’t get the valve separate. should have it in next few days. Hopefully that’s the fix!
 
It does seem like the valve is not available separately, and is contained within the HPFP.

You can test the valve.

1. Check resistance. Disconnect the connector. Measure the resistance between pins 1 and 2. Should be between 0 and 10 Ω?
2. Check supply voltage. Turn the ignition on. Measure the voltage on pin 1. Is it between 11 and 13.5 V?
3. Check Solenoid operation. Disconnect the fuel pressure control valve. Connect pin 2 to the negative battery terminal. Briefly connect pin 1 to the positive battery terminal. Does the solenoid 'click'?
4. Check the connectivity of the connector. Measure the resistance between pins 2 and B 34 (E1 Engine control unit). Is it less than 1 Ω?

The fuel pump relating to your fault code was the low pressure/in tank fuel pump.
