Leon ambient door lighting?

Hi all,

Just brought a 2013 Leon FR. I’ve just realised the front doors have like a light strip in them for the ambient lighting. I can see there on by looking into the grove. But even when dark you cannot hardly see them. I’ve changed the settings to 100%.

Can these be changed. If so how. And where do I get the new light from. Can’t seem to find a part number or anything.

You can change the colour from white to red (at least you can on my FR), I find that I don't really notice them even at night unless i pay particular attention to them, I also have them set to 100%.

Yeah I’ve changed them to red also. Can see it slightly. But not a great deal. Just wondered if you could replace them as I can’t seem to find the led light part

Any updates on the lighting as I have the same problem plus my driver side one is more dimmer then the passenger side

There are two LEDs on the ambient lighting. It may be the case that one of the LEDs on the drivers side has failed or become disconnected.

Ill take the door cards off ? Can you buy them new? Or are they part of the door card

Yh they are way brighter then mine I can’t even see mine in the day and even and night got go down and look in the grove

On the infotainment screen, go to:

Car >> Settings >> Lighting? Check that the interior light settings/dashboard light settings are set to 100% before stripping the door cards.

If you do strip the door cards, there are videos of this in other threads/YouTube. There are also some single use fasteners that you will need to replace when reassembling.

Yh that’s all 100% full mate but the door cards have been off previously so Mayb they not in properly thank you buddy

Hi all… so I taken my door card off they are both plugged in and it seems to be bright starting off the tube then in the middle there is no light can it be the bulbs on the way out or the tube

Hi how did you change them red and did you manage to get them brighter ?
