Loud pipes save lives!
There's no lid or fixings with that eBay one J3RV X, I sent the seller a message to ask and he said what you see in the photo is all there is.

Oh and the reserve is £50 so I doubt he will sell it, £50 for an armrest with no lid or fixings

I got a genuine golf mk4 one from a scrap yard for a mere £30. black cloth one. TBH - I wouldnt be without one now I have it! I couldnt recommend it enough!

And that came with all the brackets, nuts bolts and covers etc

I have one of the 'cheap' ones and whilst it's been ok, the springs fell out of the locating clip and it creaks when i lean on it - it's been fine for 2 years but having got my hands on a genuine Audi S3 one ... the difference in build quality is LEAGUES apart!
We got a lot to talk about Pat on Sunday :)

Go genuine and you know that they aren't going to rattle, come loose and (in theory) they won't fall apart and all that stuff. I put my genuine one in just after getting the car new. It cost me £130 for a leather one to match the car and all you need came in the box. Just had to undo the centre console to get under it for the mounting bracket (all the threaded holes in the floor are there for this bit), then had to cut out the coin tray with a stanley knife (scary in a brand new car!). It all looks factory fit even now after 75k miles and plenty of use. It hasn't gone flat or worn anywhere. There are no rattles up or down and I think it was money well spent. I doubt a fleabay item would wear so well and be such a good quality fit and finish.

It was the first mod I did and sent me on a slippery slope!! ;)
