Having had two 170 PD engines the CR 170 is defo the better lump [ least it was designed around the DPF and not the otherway round!] quite a smooth acceleration profile and can be more economicalat speed, should see 40/53mpg at 80mph and about 35 using over 4k rpm.................

My CR FR never missed a beat was spot on always started first time and ran as smooth as silk. Only felt slightly rough when DPF was on regeneration.

CR FR just over 7k miles spot on only fault water leaking in the bonnet bulkhead and wetting the sound proofing known issue easily sorted under warranty

That and the front centre arm rest should be standard :)

I've had a few problems with mine, first was a boost leak soon after I bought it (10 months), next was a dash rattle. Both were sorted by the dealer under warranty. Then more recently it's been stuttering under low loads - thought to be a software issue - now sorted (I think), then finally I had turbo actuator failure - again sorted under warranty (albeit after a few false starts).

On the whole I'm pleased with the car, I love the way it looks, and drives, the only remaining niggles are a few interior rattles which I can live with.

Hoping that's all the niggles out of the way now.

I have now done 16,000 miles in my cr 170 dsg. I have had two new radiators fitted under warranty due to coolant leaks although the garage think the first new one wasn't fitted properly hence the need for another after the original leaked. I have had no problems with anything else and the dpf regen light has never come on.

I have had my cr for about a month and a half now and I have had no problems so far.
The car has done 32000 miles and the previous owner said they hadnt had any problems either.
The cr is alot smoother and refined then the old pd engine.
