Syphon covered that in the thread about the press days; he said that it wasn't what he heard from seat.

its Autoexpress BS. They are notorious for it.

Before the Cupra came out in 2013 they had a picture of a Cupra R 4WD test mule in Barcelona... Problem was I was there when the picture was taken and it was FWD car.

They still published the article.


Cupra R is always a roll out model towards the end of production.

Yes, I was in the same conversation and he didn't say CUPRA R at any point.

I also talked about what he did say in my rambling trip to the airport video.
