Hi all

Just bought a new LCR after 5 years of Scooby ownership. Pick up the LCR next weekend. Took advantage of the 2.5K off :D

Just trying to figure out what colours were available when to figure out when car was manufactured. Car is unregistered at the moment so confident it's pretty new.

Color is black

Brochure I've got (dated 05/05) shows black is a metallic paint but colour on car looks non-metallic.

So was a non-metallic black available in 05 ?

All black LCR's are non metallic.

Only metallic colours were silver and platinum

Cheers Julian

Must be a brochure error though as it shows -

Non-Metallic Emocion Red
Metallic Luna Grey
Metallic Platinum Grey
Metallic Black Magic

Is it an LCR only brochure or a general Leon one? At one time all leons except the Cupra R were available in 'Black Magic metallic'

LCR's were 'Ebony black'

I've seen a black magic metallic LCR at a dealership, on an 05 plate i think. I posted about it at the time...

memeory serves me correct the colours are....

ovni yellow
emocian red
flash red
artic silver
platinum silver :p
and ebony black

the black is matt and brand new all shiney looks the balls but isn't it very soft???

the first LCR i saw was my mates brand new one in ebony and i can still remember how sexy it looked, it was the reason why i bought mine and i've had two since......in my opinion the best colours are-

1.platinum/ebony [can't decide!]
2.artic
3.ovni
4.flash
5.emocian

Sure it wasn't the FR with the LCR bits on it?

Only LCR's i have seen have been ebony - flat black

Brembos, 18" alloys, R steering wheel, seats, interior highlights, badges on the back/side. It was an "R" alright.

Maybe there's a few new ones kicking around in the metallic. The Leon brochure and Seat web site show it's available in the metallic.

Maybe they launched that colour just before production ended so there's not many around.

Mine is almost certainly ebony then. Can't wait to see it clean on Sat when I pick it up. :D

Just got to get the Scoob ready to sell now

Will keep you updated on first impressions. Certainly expect it to be alot different than the Scoob. Mine's a classic MY00.

Will be weird going to FWD from 4WD as the Scoob just used to change direction & pick up again effortlessly.

Surely a Seat must have more paint than a Scoob. Reckon they drove my Scoob past the spray can as fast as they could.

Did you manage to get anything on top of the 2.5k off from Seat? Interested to see what the dealers will do on top of this. Also, they were offering Sat Nav for free a few months ago - I assume they have stoped that offer so it's 2.5k off. One other thing, do you still have to pay extra for an autochanger?

Cheers,
Alex.
