Not too difficult to guess what car these are off :p

I made myself a template of the Leon side sill curvature and depth to the support seam. I then used the template to check the donor car's side sill profile. It was an exact match. Ill be removing the fake carbon fibre and have them sprayed gloss black to match the rest of the Cupra gloss black goodies.

Im liking the look, its really subtle but does a good job of giving some added appeal to the side view of the car. Excuse the rubbish cellphone pics.

Wouldnt really work on a black car would it?

I keep looking at audi A5 side skirts. They are like blades i keep thinking they should fit my leon. Even of they were too long you could cut the middle, bond together, and respray. Then bond to the sill. I wonder if they are bolted on or glued on to A5s?

Well done Hubbly, looks very neat and can imagine how much it would have costed from the stealers.

By the way, Hubbly does most of DIY mods for us down here in SA and he is a true master. Where is the mod thread dude, show it off...all of it! Am very proud of you.

Hubbly how did they attach under the car and are the genuine items?. I've seen full carbon versions on ebay. Do you have the part numbers?

Thanks T, appreciate the kind words! There you go, added link to Mod Thread ;)

Allan sorry i dont have the part numbers, i remember seeing them somewhere when searching on google for Golf 6 GTI side skirts.

Within the skirt there is a strip like braket that the skirt clips into. That bracket gets screwed onto the side sill and then the skirt clips into the bracket. Under the car there are supposed to be 2 or 3 other brackets which i didnt get as I bought these from someone with a GTI and he needed those brackets for the new side skirts. I just use the holes in the underside of the skirt to cable tie it to the welded support seam (that is used for jacking up the car). Took all of 30mins each side so not a difficult one to do.

Nice find, seem to be expensive! About 200 Euro

The OEM skirts are expensive. There are a few companies producing replica skirts for alot cheaper. I was going to purchase replicas but then the opportunity arose that I could buy these OEM skirts second hand for same price as the replica skirts. I paid equivalent of 80 Euro for the set.
