1. Switch Ignition ON and leave the key in the ignition.

2. Mechanically lock the vehicle using the Drivers door using the new
key.

3. Using the remote control press the Unlock button once, and the horn
will sound once.

4. Wait 6 seconds and press the unlock button once to activate the coding
procedure. The remote control will now be programmed.

NOTE : When performing programming on additional remotes the procedure
is the same, except you press the unlock button 2, 3 or 4 times for the
different remote.

For example : If programming 2 remotes press the unlock button twice with
a 1 second interval between each press, repeat for 3 and 4 remotes.

5. Switch Ignition OFF.

6. Remove key from ignition and check for operation.

7. The coding procedure can be repeated up to 4 times for additional remotes.

8. The ignition must be switched OFF between programming each remote

thankx a lot for replying but it didn't work.
however,i've managed it using vds pro

now i need to code the key using some functioning cable/software.
would you suggest vag tacho or vag k+can commander?

Normally I would say use Vag Tacho, But I have it and it wouldn't work on mine (same as yours I think) although it works fine on all mk4 golfs, Others have reported that it worked fine on an 05 FR?. I had to use Vag K+Can commander.

yep, mine is seat leon fr of 2005 and its a tdi.
so,were you able to find the right skc code?

the seller said

"Hi,

This one can work with your car. But I'm not sure if it can read SKC for your car. It can read SKC if your car use CAN BUS protocol. ".

so,mate, what do you think, can i buy it?does our car use the can bus protocol?

right had a read threw it all and still not 100% sure lol, my problem is i lost my 2button flip key while out one night, so all i have now is the key with no buttons on (service key?) so ive brought a new 2button flip key off ebay with a blank blade which im going to get cut tomorrow, can i do the trick of putting one in the door lock and one in the igniton to code the new one or will this not work? because 99% of the people in this thread are just upgrading from a normal 2button key to a 2button flip key, cheers for any help

that will work for the remote, but it wont start the car. you'll need it programming by a main dealer or someone on here with the software.
