Well, I tentatively advertised my car and a couple of hours later, a friend wants it

Best get properly looking for an FR then

181bhp, tech pack and under 10k. Doable, but 11k would be better for a mileage as I would prefer one on 30k, not 60k but SWMBO has set the figure.

Any links, anyone got one for sale in the Hampshire area please?

Mine has just under 30k miles and I want £11k for it. I haven’t advertised it yet.

Gorgeous motor, but sadly I need a 5 door for the kids seats, wife has firmly said no to 3 doors

My 5dr 1.8 TSI FR (62 plate / 34k miles) finishes end of Oct / beginning of Nov. Apologies if this is no use but it’s going to BCA for auction. The local dealer would have bought it but VWFS wanted around £9,800 for it which the dealer thought was too high.

Try and get one that's not had the emissions fix. Mines lost a lot of torque.

Think I might have to re-think my priorities and possibly plump for the 148 model instead. Still an improvement on my current pd105 with a remap and I can always had a few ponies at a later date

Real shame you need 5 doors
Tell me about it. I must admit on the test drive, it was a royal pain getting my lads seat in the back.

I've left a VM with a seller of a 148 model. Less than 30k on the clock. It's a shame I can't stretch to 12, but my wife is worried when we come to remortgage and ask for more to extend

Why not go for the Ecotsi petrol? Good on consumption and won't get taxed to the hilt if the government really does want to make Diesel pollution the next Armageddon...... on top of that you will probably be able to hit your targets in relation to price and mileage and it's cheaper to run.
