But its way dearer and of course no DSG.............
Besides, no one outside this board can tell a Cupra from an FR.
Yes I suppose the only people who know its the Cupra are the people behind you who see the
badge disappearing into the sunset. I suppose the extra grand may be slightly difficult to justify, I mean, all you get is an upgraded engine with beefed up components such as valves, con rods, crank etc, bigger wheels, bigger and better brakes, upgraded suspension, better seats all put together by hand in the SEAT CupraSport factory, oh and yes, I nearly forgot....... at least an extra 40BHP although most rolling road tests would show it to be nearer 60BHP extra. Mmmmm difficult choice, especially when you think that after a year the Cupra would be worth a mere £3,000 more than the DSG.
Don't get me wrong, the DSG is a nice car, I take on board that if you can't have a Cupra as a company car it is an alternative, its fairly quick and the paddle shift is fun for a while, I've one for a month but hardly touched the paddles after the first couple of weeks. I'm sure my dad would enjoy it as he likes autos, I'm just not old enough for one yet, I'm "only" 49!
On the A5 Friday night as I was keeping in touch with a 3.2 carbon roofed TT and a 03 plate M3 cabriolet at double the limit do you really think I'd have swapped my Cupra for a TSi DSG? Not on your Nellie!!!
