Leon FR Boot - is this normal?

Hi all!

We bought a 2015 FR in January. I decided to take everything out of the boot including the spare wheel. I found loads of patches that had been welded in? Is this normal? I've never seen it in a car before?

i think you will find them in most seat leon boots they are sound deadening strips i thinks they are just stuck on

Mines is the same only I have a leak getting in think it’s from the rear lights

Not from your drainage of the panoramic sunroof? Should check underneath your backseats too tbh.
