Hi,

my Leon fr can be a bit slow to start some, never bothered me since it’s grand some and bit slower other times.
Recently the car has starting being a bit lumpy when idling (not all the time, just every now and then) it revs itself to the 10 and then I normally intervene and Rev the car and it settles and idles smooth again.. I personally don’t notice any difference when driving the car but this doesn’t mean there isn’t.
Cars under warranty still for another month but just want to get a few ideas on what it could be first

Would this show up as a fault if the car was plugged into a computer or not do you know? Or how do they narrow it down to be this or maybe it’s just more replace parts and see when the problem goes?
I have a video of it starting a bit rough and got a video today of it revving itself and me revving it and it going back to normal, see I had rang before about a month ago when the car was slow to start and the man said it could be the immobiliser and if I open and close the door it should solve it lol (obviously my knowledge on cars isn’t great but thought that sounded a bit odd) to me even if that’s what it was surely the car should have been took back and fixed anyway? But they never even offered to look at the car or anything, which annoyed me a bit, it’s made me a bit nervous about ringing about this problem in case they sort of phob me off?

Yea would show up m8 is it a diesel or petrol, you could when the problem. Is active try unplug the sensor see if this cures, im not sure it would cause slow start on a petrol tho, i see how on a diesel cos im Sure its linked to heater plugs but could be wrong, dont be afraid to call them mate stand your ground and tell that guy straight lol

I haven’t a clue where the sensor would be to unplug? only thing I know about cars pretty much is how to put oil etc in hahaha
The cars a diesel, when I was looking through the service history earlier it shows it’s had a new air flow meter or air meter the past two years and obviously an oil change etc but no new diesel filter or anything else since the cars been made, would this cause any of these problems as well? Just since ya know people say filters etc in a diesel would need changed more often than a petrol??‍♀️
I had took the car back to them when I first got it cause it made a strange noise but turned out to be something simple in the interior just rattling, (swear I haven’t took it back 101 times over stupid things but?) but they took the car away from me to take it to the mechanic so I’d just be feared that if they were to do that to plug it in they’d maybe try and clear the faults but that could be me overthinking it?
May just bite the bullet and take it round but just wanted to have an idea of what it could have been or that there
