Does anyone know if its possible to change the front grill of the Leon 2010 1.6 cr ecomotive from the complete filled in one to a normal one with the thins in?

Yes it's easily do-able, just need the new grill, I'd recommend buying one from the SERE Motors (SEAT Parts Specialist) section on the forum OR get a used one for a fraction of the price from ebay

There are two small plastic rivets at the top of the grill under the bonnet, remove them (reusable) then pull the entire grill up then away from the car. You will need to be a bit heavy handed with it as the securing prongs on the rear of the grill are a very tight fitment. Not difficult, I'm sure you'll manage.

You do know that the ecomotive has a closed over grille for a purpose though don't you? I don't know much difference it makes, but it obviously improves the aerodynamics and makes it more efficient.

That little grill thing can't make that much difference for drag etc to be honest it always bugged me as I was worried about cool air flow to the engine etc
