Hi, The battery went flat the other day on my Girlfriends car and the Blaupunkt stereo has lost
its code. The code is not in her manual. I removed the Radio to get the serial no then i rang the steelers to get the code but they said they need to plug the car in to Vag com to get the code. Just wondering if this is right and how much this might cost.

Cheers Jeff

Think there are a few companies can do this now, check online.
Also if you have'nt removed radio, might be worth doing incase code is on it.
Folder for car has a small card with code on it,if you have that.

You should just be able to ring the dealers and they should give it you over the phone. We did that for a TT, Dont think you can use vagcom for radio codes

Thanks for reply. I have taken out radio no code on the radio there is also no code anywhere
in the manual. And the dealers will not give me code over the phone as they say it needs to be plugged in to get the code, very helpful:censored:

Any idear how much they might charge or weather its worth using an online radio code finder.

Its a Sat nav Blaupunkt.

Cheers Jeff:help:

Thinking of getting another stereo with iPod con, dab, USB, bluetooth pos.
Can any one recommend any. Or have got any pics of how to fill up the double din.

The sat nav was pants anyway. Lol

Cheers Jeff

Vag com won't retrieve your code. Dealers will be using Geko via VAS equipment that requires the vehicle to be plugged in the retrieve the code, they didn't have to do this up until last year when an update meant the details were read directly from the vehicle in order to get the code.

If they've ever had the code in the past they'll have it on file, if your cars got any seat dealer livery on it I.E window stickers, tax disc holder etc identifying where it was originally sold from you could give them a call and see if they have it. Don't expect them to give it you over the phone though as you could be any Tom, **** 'n' Harry.

Expect to pay between £5-15 for the pleasure.

Thanks for replys.
I'm not gonna line the dealers pockets prob get a different head unit as the sat nav wasn't that good, plus could get one with dab, iPod connection.
Cheers for help.
