Hi guys,
Would appreciate your thoughts on air box mods:
Basically, I have a 1.6 Leon mk1 and have already replaced the standard paper filter with a Pipercross foam filter which I guess has increased the throttle response, but I do want to give it a noise gain, though nothing over the top.
I can't afford to do a full induction kit or change the exhaust system (+ on a 1.6, what is the point?!) so am toying with the idea of drilling some holes on the base of the air box.
VW in their infinite wisdom decided to place the air box on the top of the engine block with their 1.6 16v engines, and being a SEAT, mine has the same thing...does this make any difference on where I should drill the holes as when people say "don't drill engine side" that makes no sense on my car haha!
Any ideas, or other mods I should try instead?
Thanks!
