Hi,

I bought my Leon Cupra TDi a couple of months ago, and, until now, it's been great. However, over the past week or so, i've getting into the car every morning and have been noticing that where the time is usually displayed, the temperature shows as 4.5 degrees or sometimes 5 degrees and the little snowflake symbol is displayed next to it. I didn't know what it was so just left it...

... and then yesterday, whilst driving, my orange engine maintenance light came on outta nowhere! I suspect this has got something to do with the temperature thing that's been happening.. can anyone confirm this? or can anyone tell me why this light may have come on?

I'm not sure if it's got anything to do with anti-freeze, as I haven't put any in...

Please help.

Thanks in advance guys!

The snowflake is just to tell you its below 5degrees and is normal.

The EML will be because of a fault, you need to get it code read to see what the fault is.

How do I get the code read for the engine management light?

Thanks

you are using the correct anti freeze as coolant?

Yeah, I used the one recommended by a Seat specialist. Don't know what it's called though..

.. will check.

I just had the Green Flag come out to check it out, they said it could any one of the sensors around teh car that has triggered it and sometimes, it's probably something that's triggered the light to come on but there isn't actually a fault. It's so annoying!

Will get it down to the same seat specialist on Monday to get it read via a diganostics check.

Thanks for your replies guys.
