Hi All,

I have a 2011 1.6l diesel Leon. Yesterday I broke down on the motorway, lost power and the engine was vibrating heavily. There was a fault saying: take to workshop, Stop/Start error.

The AA bloke turned up and said there was an error code with the no 3 injector. He unplugged and re-plugged the connector for injector 3, cleared the fault and the car seemed to be fine. He said it was weird as they usually just fail and its not intermittent. I drove the rest of the 1.5 hours home and the car was fine. Was this some connector issue or could there still be a problem with the injector?

Was wondering if any of you have a had a similar issue??

Cheers

Glenn

The injector wiring can be an issue sometimes, so you might have got very lucky. or it could be ready to drop it's guts.

Only time will tell.

You could try changing the fuel filter and running some injector cleaner through the car, there isn't much else you can do for injectors.
