Hi All,

I took delivery of my brand new Leon Mk3 1.6 TDI two days ago and I must say I have been more excited about waking up and going for a drive in the car than I have been about christmas!

I traded in my old 1.6 N/A Citroen DS3 4Speed auto for this 1.6 TDI 7Speed DSG and wow! The difference is amazing! Its so much more powerful and quiet! In my ds3 you knew you where doing 60 by the road and engine noise, but in the Leon I crept just over 95 last night and I didn't realise till I looked down at the speedo! lol

But the car is brand new with a few extras, 18" Alloys, Technology Pack, Duel Zone Climate Control, Convenience Pack Ect.. And I LOVE IT!!!

I would insert some pics of her but I need to post more before I can :(

The Plan is to modify her, starting with wind deflectors, spoiler, possibly lower, change the interior bulbs (any info on how to remove the roof lights would be a great help! :D) then eventually after its ran in get a DTUK tuning box :p

So thats my car :) Im from coventry so hopefully see a few of you around, hopefully you'll recognise the personal plate so say hi if you do :p

Thanks,

Tom

What's your Instagram name? Because I'm sure I've got someone in Instagram that had just got rid of their auto ds3.

Also I have the 1.6tdi but manual. I've got a DTUK box and its a lot better. If you have a SC, you can have my wind deflectors. I took mine off a while back

Nah they're Climair tinted ones. Heko hadn't made any yet when I ordered mine. You can have them for free. They're just taking up room in my cupboard. And I don't have the software yet but I know someone with it. Just need to get a new laptop and lead I'll be all hooked up for it

Slowly but surely starting to modify the car now, It has some wind deflectors on it, interior light, rear indicators are now LED & just waiting on the fog lights and revering LEDs to arrive too!

I have a spoiler on order so that will be sent to a painter as soon as that arrives, I need to source a splitter to have carbon hydrodipped, and also want to put a BOV on it, not so much for the noise but to help with boost pressure ect. But it would be nice to have a bit of noise. Changing the panel filter too soon!

so if anybody can help tell me where the BOV is on a 1.6TDI Mk3 that would be appreciated, or which one I would need to purchace.

And finally the wheels will be going black or gunmetal grey when the plastidip arrives. depending if i make my mind up on the colour lol :D Any recommendations are appreciated!

Tommy :)

I also have a 1.6 TDI but manual. Got it in Sept '13, have 38k miles / 62k km so far, quite happy with it. :)

1.6 might be a little bit slower than 2.0 but it's definitely fast enough, and it's slightly more economical I think.

Could you please look at the part number?

Sure, Il take a look when I next go out to the car and will report back.

They must reading our forum realise how popular they are. .£60 to spend on something else

Yeah I did ask the dealer and he said it was a popular addition to the newer builds.

I have just put a DTUK tuning box on mine, is a lot faster and smoother now throughout the gears. Gives my mates 2.0 FR a good run for its money :D I used to get just about 50mpg but with the box on a good run I get nearer 60 now! So more power and less fuel :D Win Win!

Thank you a lot. I'll be ordering VW's from Passat 5M(from the Dephead's thread) tomorrow, but if there are washers from Seat, I'll probably be ordering those.

Just out of curiosity, how can you order this when buying a new car? I can't seem to find this option anywhere? Is it even an option?
