Hi All,
I was on the A65 yesterday and was raining quite heavy, so I generally missed the 40 sign but came around a bend to see a mobile speed camera van sat off the road (If anyone knows the A65, it's just the last few tight bends before you get to the M6)
Anyways, I come around the corner and notice it there - glance down at my speedo and noticed I'm doing 44/45 on the clock and thought 'Sh*t is this a 40'. Anyways I did not slam on, I just eased off the gas as I knew what I was doing etc.
My question is, you reckon I will get away with the 10% on that? According to my Sat Nav is read 41mph. I always thought the van had to have all 4 wheels on the road too and do they have to carry calibration certificates?
Know I was in the wrong, but technically I was only speeding my 1mph.
Car is a Leon FR with 18s so seems to read slightly out if I am honest, more so at 30 than 70 for instance.
7 years driving, never a point.
