That's the same day that I also discovered the vans can get you going away from them as well as facing you...
Had the same thing as the OP about a month ago except it was a hand held camera and a 30 zone and the clock was showing about 34, coming around a sharp turning on level ground hitting a steep upward gradient I applied a little juice coming off the bend at about 10 MPH to get back to 30 when I saw the cop’s so let the throttle go and looked at the speedo. They were in an odd place because they were only about 75 yards from the turn and to get from the sharp bend to their stand point you would need to accelerate like a Ferrari unless their main intentions was to catch speeder coming the other way.
I was the only car in the area in this quite unknown to me part of Beaminster in Dorset and you are right, they do clock you after you pass because looking in the rear view mirror after about 200 yards the cop suddenly turned around and took another shot at me and with me struggling to get up the steep hill I noticed the Leon was back at 34 again.

Well that was a month ago so I hope I was OK and besides with theses lovely curves on the Leon I think it makes it a bit like a stealth bomber and cannot be detected by radar.
