ive got the aurora sinle CD player with 6 cd changer in my leon.

is there any way cables can be run for an amp feed? is it possible to get ipod connection on this headunit?

cheers in advance

yah, caraudiosecurity do a ipod kit for 75 bob, seat do it for 99ish. both allow you to control through cd changer controls however you lose use of the changer.

if you want to keep changer, halfords do a kit for 75/80ish i think (have to change track via ipod).

got the same hu/changer, have tried to find a solution to the amp however my findings would suggest a big no no. i have uprated speakers in my doors, tbh it sounds great however if you really want the extra boom your looking at a new h/u fitted. if you find otherwise PLEASE let me know!!

alternatively you can run an amp of the rear speaker cables, get a 3/4 channel amp and use that to run the rear speakers aswell. this has however been rumoured to burn out h/u and amp. i was close to doing it however somany peopele in the know warned me off. your shout. hope this helps

p.s. if you get bored, have a look at seatcupra . net / infobase and find the 'secrets of the seat climatecontol' or something. clever stuff

i already know the secret of the climate control like speed in km/h, my dad used to have a toledo 20vt so know quite a bit about some of it

can live with that with the ipod if that means i gotta change track thru ipod.

shame about the sub and amp jobby, that rear speaker method is tres dodgy mate.

got a perfectly good headunit out of my saxo with iopd connection but i know the standard one has a funny built in amp so powers speakers different, by changing headunits do the speakers change as id imagine they would be underpowered

well popular opinion would suggest that you can run a new h/u with the old speakers. many times heard that the standard speakers are quite good and the h/u is the big let down. so i cant imagine you'd have any issues

I switched from an aura headunit to an alpine ida-x001 ipod headunit . The sound from the standard speakers with the alpine is so much better than the aura . Well worth changing :)
