Hi all, have a Leon mk2 tdi FR 170. Was driving home Friday night doing 65 car was nicely warmed up the cut out while my foot was still on the gas! Stopped and tried to turn it over, engine turned over fine but wouldn't start the noticed the red oil can in the mfd flashing and beeping oil pressure low! Before that I had thought fuel pump but can hear it priming. Engine code is BMN. Do these suffer the dreaded oil pump failure? Looked on line and it's very confusing some say yes some say no, can anyone tell me yes or no please? Cheers all and great forum Nick

Hi cheers for your reply. I'm not sure if it's had the injectors done as got nothing to say it has. I've had it in diagnostics and no codes are coming up. Only had the car since October and my first dies. Had a seat for 12 years, 2 Ibizas and a Leon r. But no nothing about dispels so any help is much appreciated.

Also forgot to say has full history and nothing stamped in the book for the injector recall makes me think it hasn't had it! Do I get in touch with seat uk if it has had them done? Or is it just a call to local dealers? Cheers

Is there oil in it?

Could be a simple sensor issue but that should come up on a diagnostic check.

Ring Seat UK for the injectors.

Hi thanks got hold of seat this morning and nothing outstanding against my registration so looks like injectors have been done. Yeah got plenty of oil in it but not sure if the BMN engine is one of the Ones that suffers with oil pump failure. Thanks for your reply
