Hi, I have just purchased a 2006 Leon TDI FR (old shape) and wondered if there are any good upgrades that I could do. At the moment I am not interested in increasing BHP, but more brakes and handling. Any suggestions. Thanks
Read my signature for some fairly gentle ideas - I play it fairly safe as the Mrs has to drive the car a lot too and she doesn't want the kids rattling around in a car slammed on coilovers etc! The one thing I am really missing for handling are uprated front and rear anti-roll bars. Click on the underlined link in the sig to see pics.
There's loads on here done a hell of a lot more (look up the threads for unclefester or jonjay in readers rides for two that instantly spring to mind). Thing is though - once you start, you just can't stop adding stuff and changing bits.
Learn to search too! You'll get a lot out of it and probably more help on here as we see a lot of people asking the same old stuff cos they can't be arsed to search! You'll get away with it a little at the mo being a newbie!
Welcome to SCN though - its a friendly place full of people very happy to help and advise.
yep agreed, do a search for the stuff like the 312mm brakes and and the suspension to see what everyone else has done. Its all been covered before so you will find a wealth of information.
