hi every body im james im new to seat my sister has a 1.6 sr leon it does not start or turn over just makes like a fluid noise i think it could have somthing to do with the ignition coil my sister was driving it when it stoppedb4 then it ust to stutter then work then stop and then go untel now it wont start at all can anybody help i am sick of my sister moaning at me to fix it cheers

The Fluid noise is most probably the fuel pump kicking in,your saying it stoped dead and wont turn over, if it stoped dead and the engine wont crank could be timing belt, broke a valve or two off and locked the engine up. Same happend to mine, easest way to tell is remove the spark plugs and see if they have been struck by anything in the cylinder, also you will hear the engine trying to turn over if this has happen where the cam moves arround 2 degrees and then clicks back, but whip the plugs out to eliminate anything like this.

cheers mate i shall have a look in the morning and i will get bak on later to tell u how i got on cheers

oooook

my sister has just in formed me that it will run if u bump start it so does this mean igntion pack havnt had a chance to look today any views:help:

just had the car running through bump starting and runs fine for a while then starts to idle a little funny the only thing i can think of its something to do with start motor ignitin coil or relay ??????

If it runs off a bump igniton coils are fine, check the fuses and see if any are blown, could be somthing simple, failing that whip the starter motor off and hook it upto a battery and see if it starts, are you getting dash lights with ignition on?

no i was going to wait 4 a bit because i now have got to go out for an hour ill check then be back on later cheers for helping by the way

Smart :)

Stuttering could well be the coils. Could be that the Alternator is shot as well and not throwing out enough juice. Have you read the error codes on VAGCOM - this will point you in the right direction.....

VAGCOM, alternator or the coils? I assume VAGCOM, theres a section dedicated on the main forum page, have a look at the stickies in there :) You can use the freeware version to read the DTC's :)
