Good work mate! I like this car! You gonna come along to Inters next year? :)

I would love to! When is it? As I'm only down south till June, otherwise its a fair drive. Definitely gonna hit the show scene next year though.

Received a few goodies today I'm sure will be entertaining :D

I've just read through your thread and really enjoyed it Lewis! By far my favourite Ibiza shape; I nearly bought one a few years ago. As said many times, it's a very clean example and I think that is what makes the car so nice. The headlights work, imo; black is such a good base cover.

I should imagine that the straight through exhaust will give it a nice note. Keep up the good work mate!

James.

Big thanks for the kind words James :) Yea I was very lucky to find a great example, another few updates very soon also. Exhaust is definitely on the cards come March, probably a 4-1 manifold. Few bits ready to go in eventually too

Really like the look of this! well done!

Please keep the original seat though!

Inters is at the end of June, Lewis :)... Come along! +1 with DC, those Marlene cloth seats are a bit rarer mate, I would keep them! :) You've got yourself a relatively rare car here mate, you're not ALLOWED to mod it as you please :p ha!

Haha thanks! EBC green stuff is on the rear, disks and pads on the front too. Kinda average to be honest. Loads more photo's on the way once the rain stops

Was unsure if those seats were rare actually, what are they worth? As I was debating on selling or keeping to go back in the car.

Wouldn't mind tagging along with someone that would be sweet, need a meet up some time before then though.

And yes Sir the only mods ill be doing are OEM+ sort of things to enhance what may have came from the factory :)

at the mo lewis, we are planning a mass show of mk2`s so the more the merrier! mine will be there too. im with dc on this one, keep the original seats in but its your car and do as you will! i would only put them in if you were stripping the interior out completely to rag it round a track. like people say, you have one of the last mk2`s there, would be a shame to go to far with it!

Yea with regards to the show Ill do my best to join in, should be a highlight of 2012, thanks for the invites :]

To clear things up I have a full set of Cupra R half leathers in it, pics as soon as its light I guess. The bucket is on a separate rail to put in during the summer. Also I have some gauges for the A pillar. Ill get lots of pic's next time Im out to update the thread

Also!

ON a separate note I thought I would list the things required to do to take it back to standard: Remove yellow laminx, standard wheel and airbag (in the garage) standard seats (in the garage) standard gear knob (In the garage) standard exhaust. So its still pretty original! :)

Leave seat in, if you have standards still, winner lol.

Make sure it is used on track days though ;)

nice one like it alot. ;)

Thanks Ather :)

I like them! Shame about the doorcards though :( you can't switch 'em over either can you...

Thanks, Yea Im just going to spray the fabric black.

i pretty sure the rears will fit and i reckon if you had the front door cards you could do something with them??;)

As much as I like the Mk3 cards I would rather it didn't mis-match the dash

They will both fit Phil. But the dash impression on the fronts are different. Handle location, switches etc.

Sounds like a nightmare job anyway.

Cheers everyone! :)
