Licence plate bulbs not working

Hi Folks,

I have a Seat Leon FR 2.0 and both of my licence plate bulbs are not working, I've tested them both with a multi-meter and both are getting continuity and a steady voltage, I have tried new LED bulbs as well as standard filament bulbs but neither of them light up, Is this possibly a bad earth and would anyone know where they are earthed at?

If you’ve got power when the headlight are on to the holder then it should work on the bulbs unless the pins that hold the bulbs aren’t making contact to the bulb. Tuff one without being there.

Thanks for your reply, I thought it was strange having power to them but them still not lighting up, I checked the contacts you mentioned and they were all making good contact with no corrosion.
I have sorted this issue if anyone else ever has it, I disconnected the battery for a few minutes and when I reconnected it both lights worked first time, then just a short drive to get rid of the esp fault that popped up.
