When i put my lights on and turn the steering my lights dim only when car is not movin theo never used to do it is it a bad earth or somthing or is there a relay for the electric steering or something anyone help

It's quite normal for them to dim slightly if you're sat still and move the steering. The steering pump draws a lot of juice from the battery. I've noticed that my interior light and dash lights also dim

I have that happen on my car when I'm in the carpark. It also does it to the headlights if you're on main beam.

i swear it never did it befor my accident theo could just be the car is gettin old i no the electric steering takes alot out of it just annoys me lol

happens on all cars, It would also happen if you turn the heating on, anything drawing current really

If its really bad i would check the alternator, but as said happens all the time when you work anything that will draw power from the battery.

try turning on everything in the car then try steering they dim even more!

Happens on most cars, Including my parents Honda CRV.
Its the power steering drawing almost all your cars available power.

wouldnt worry bout it unless its very severe.

Mine did do this with the halogen bulbs, but not after I changed to HID's.

They run on less power so probably arent affected as much.
