Been thinking about getting one but my cars now sat on the drive through the week and i fear when i come to driving it the battery will be flat.
Id go for the braille i know a few people use these and i think VWRacing use these in their mk5 golf race cars.

Braille & Varley are highly regarded. Someone recently advised me his car sits for a week at a time with Varley 35 and started fine

Al fitted a light weight battery. However I'm not sure which one.

Demon tweeks amongst many. Think the battery was about £150 plus cable plus battery bracket / holder
If routing the vac hose for boost gauge was anything to go by routing the cables through the bulk head would be the worst bit. Although Steve said with the glovebox out it wasnt too bad.
