I've tried search, God knows I've tried.. but the problem here is one of a technical anture. I'm at a satellite site today sorting a server and Citrix has provided me with a cut down version of IE.. Search just doesn't work!

That aside... late last night my dashboard became lit with a yellow warning light. The one the Leon manual describes as a Pollution thingy. Am I right in saying this is an engine management problem? The car runs fine at all revs, gears and speeds.

Any clues? Secondly.. if this is a fault with the MAF or something, would that be covered by warantee? Similarly, would an issue with the ECU be covered as well? (Generally speaking).

warrantee wise id think they would be covered if it were that

you basically need to get it on VAG-COM asap mate to see what its trying to tell you

if you go to seat, be prepared to be charged for the experience
prob circa 40quid just to hook it up and read for fault codes

you could disconnect the battery, leave it for 30 mins, then reconnect (make sure you wait for throttle body to re-align) then see if it comes back on when you drive it

Definately need to get it plugged in to see what fault it is coming up with as it can cover tons of different faults. I'm sure there'll be loads of people near you on here with VAG.com available.

I think I'll try my luck with the VAGCOM section on here.. see if there are any kind souls willing to hook up :) (hehe).

Aside from that, I'll d/c the battery at lunch.. see what's what!

Ta for info, as ever guys.

Thanks mate, much obliged :)

I've emailed a friend who I think still has VAGCOM kicking about.. wondering if he bundled it with his TT when he sold it though -_-

I may well be en route to Kent tonight :p

Hehe.. thanks for the offer, though!
