Hey guys

So I've changed over my egr valve to a deleting kit, but as the hose I used to connect up the delete kit split I haven't had a secure connecting. So my car had been running on basically no turbo, but one thing I noticed is the last 2 days as I've drove to work I've been blowing out HUGE amounts of soot out of the back from pretty much the when I get the revs up around 30mph or so. After that no more soot gets blown out really, I know it's probably not the best idea to run my car with no turbo boost but as anyone any ideas where the soot was coming from me personally I think the inlet manifold but that just a guess?

Cheers

Christ you're brave mate! Was it blowing anything before?
Ak

Nah not like this it was like a smoke screen behind me, I really don't think it hurt the car in anyway running without the turbo it just didn't have boost pressure from the turbo so it was slow as sh*t! It's all connected back up now and runs sweet as a nut

I left off the same hose by accident once and had the same thing, as glynnd said

Yeah I get what ur saying, it was crap driving it without a turbo but it's all good now just getting the correct size 90 degrees hose and a reducer pipe to fit a little bit of aluminium piping.

You can buy a silicone elbow of ebay with the right ends, I got one to go from 50mm to 65mm or there abouts. Cheap as chips.

But yeh, the turbo is used to up the compression in order to burn more fuel so with the turbo lacking the fuel isn't burning right and you end up with reek.

Yeah I know which sizes I need I've had the wrongs ones sent out to me twice the 90 degree silicone will be a 2.25 inch (57mm) and a reducer hose 2.25 - 2.75 (70mm) I'm gonna try pipe some up from an eBayer down the road he has some decent ones going pretty cheap.

Yeh but what I'm saying is I got an elbow and a reducer all in one, The elbow is wider at one end than it is at the other but it sounds like you're talking about an elbow and a reducer?

Just telling you incase you needed that and didn't know they existed is all.
