Looking for a remap soon!

Hi, Im looking to get a remap soon on my 210 LCR, i live in the loughborough leicester area does anyone know where the closest decent remap place is please, And will they be able to plug my car in VAGCOM to check the car over as i want to know if evry things ok

Northampton motorsport will set you up with a REVO remap. Probably a bit closer than bromsgrove too.

Any decent mapper will check the ECU for error's before mapping your car

I will be having my car re-mapped by R- Tech soon they seem like they know what they are talking about and very competitive price, them boys seem to be the only people making an effort in these hard credit crunch times to suit peoples budget and ive heard good things on the golf gti forums

Honestly bud, if your short of cash spunking what you have on a remap aint the best bet. Remaps can magnify an existing problem and also bring on others.
A coil pack is about £25, your car has 4 and doesn't run without them. Remaps can cause these to fail costing £100 in total.
Does your car have the correct mods to allow you to get a remap?

The last owner said its had 4 new coil packs , water pump, cambelt, pads and Silicon hoses 3000 miles ago with a hefty recipt to prove. the car has a standard dv looking to get a forge007 soon or turbosmart, the only mod i know about is the stupid universal open air filter i have, came with car but looking for a standard airbox. So am i right in saying a remap shouldnt break a fairly new coil pack? cheers

There is Danboy, who has got an LCR remapped to around 280bhp, I'm sure he'd have a look at it for you mate.

A remap should never break a coil pack but it has done in numerous occasions
