Right folks after a bit of advice! Just picked up our new 2011 Leon Cupra last night and have to say love it so far and haven't even ventured out of town yet! And the typical Scottish weather today can't even get a start to cleaning it.

Being new to the SEAT game I am looking for the best places to buy some accessories for the car, looking for an ipod cable or thought about the cradle for the cup holder as well. Also wanting to buy another key fob since you only get one with the car.

Any help is appreciated folks!

Cheapest place is to mail order via Sere motors on here get a quote or if you want non OEM iPod lead go on Ebay.

And take a look in the meet section. One coming up in Aberdeen in April :). And get some more posts done so you can post some pictures.

I have seen a yellow 11 plate one on the go - is that your one?

David frmo SERE on here is by far the best :)

On the iPod cable, I bought one of these for £10 delivered after finding it recommended in another thread :

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250777384531.

It arrived yesterday (took about a week from Hong Kong) and appears to work perfectly with all the iPods I have tried. I have an old 60Gb iPod which stays in the car and a newer 160Gb classic, wife has my old iPhone 3G and the kids both have nanos, all work without problems. Seat dealers charge around £70 for the same cable and I can't really see why anyone would pay that myself. Of course, if you want the cradle in the cup holder your options become more limited.

The cheap ones don't tend to last as long or the wires break at the plug end. But agree even at £50 from Sere or the BMW one for about £38 they are not cheap for a wire with an interface module built in

Yeah, time will tell on the quality front. But to be honest, the cable seems pretty well made to me. Where exactly do they break, USB/AUX end or iPod end? My cable will stay plugged in to the car all the time and I'll disconnect at the iPod end to take the iPod with me when I leave the car.

Even £38 is a major rip off for something so basic.

Can be either end but is usually due to it being pulled in and out so keeping it stationary will help. Even if they do only last ayera or need to buy 5 to match the SEAT version in price.

If you think £38 is expensive try the Masseratti version with a Masseratti badge on but identical looking to the SEAT OEM one for £250 :wtf:
