My Leon Cupra 1.8 20v Turbo lost its throttle the other day, has been in the garage & after speaking to some specialists & reading the fault codes (P1631 Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 1 Signal Too High & P1634 Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 2 Signal Too High) .
The throttle pedal (comes complete with sensor) was replaced today.
Car still has no throttle & still comming up with codes. My local garage have no idea where to next other than replace the throttle body (best part of £350) but cant garuantee that this would sort the problem out.
Has any one else had this problem & know what the solution would be.
I would gladly pay the £350 if I knew the problem would be fixed, but dont want to risk £350 on the off chance.

a throttle body is a long shot answer but most potesiometers are fed and directed through ecu and engine id module..have them backing up that with knowledge and fault codes would help...i would be equally as wary as to shelling out 350 if it does not fix it

They are using a Snap-On Solus (apparently very expensive), dont know how good, or if the guy actually knows how to fully use it. There will be a specialist going to the car on monday (who does know what he is doing). In West Sussex, near the Hampshire / Surrey border.

Eventually got my car back from the specialist yesterday :D
the probelm was with the ECU , only £729 for a new one :censored:
Luckily the genius managed to earth the ECU as it was a bad earth (he used to work for VW as a master technician) but cant garuantee how long it will last for & is not willing to fit a 2nd hand ECU. Could possibly get it repaired through a couple of suppliers at work , but that would mean taking the car off road for another week or two.
