Hey guys,

I have a 2000 polo estate, which i believe shares the same platform as the cordoba (saloon and estate cordobas are the same platform arent they?) Well basically it needs lowered but there are no kits out labelled as being for the polo wagon, however there are plenty of cordoba coilover kits about.

Looking at these coilovers, do they fit wagons do you think?

If there is anyone on here with a lowered cordoba estate please help, your cars suspension should be exact same as mine (so should the saloon cordoba's, but i want to be sure) so id love to hear what youve done.

Thanks guys!!

yes they will fit mate. the polo estate has the same set up as the cordoba as you said.
mork will probable know a good set up as hes got a polo estate.

So do the cordoba saloon and estate share the same platform, and the coupe has a different one? Or do all three have the same platform?

DPM, i cant seem to be able to pm you so could you post up what you offer plz?

cheers

i had no problems with mine m0rk,oh and it dose sit stightly lower now it all beded in!

ok i was talkin to a guy on clubpolo who sells suspension, and he says he can get me TA technix coilies which TA technix market as being for a cordoba vario. So these should fit my car perfectly then?

he's wrong though. cheap shite kits that claim to be appropriate for ibiza/cordoba/vario cannot be correct spring rates....

the back end will be way too soft

?? I know of a lot of people who run TA Technix coilies and they are apparently pretty sweet and good for the price. Most of the people i know running them have them on big passat variants and stuff.

He checked out what model TA Technix list these coilies as fitting and he says its:

"VW Polo 6N + Variant-Estate up to 99 + Caddy 96-04"

But that doesnt even make sense cos the 6n hatch has a completely different platform to the estate so how could it fit both? Maybe TA Technix designed them for the hatch and just assumed the estate was the same without researching it?

Does anyone know what coilies are available that will DEFINITELY fit a vario?

Some products are advertised as being for the polo estate, and then you look for the same make of coilie for the cordoba vario and the are not listed, and vice versa? Does this matter or will suspension fit either?

These are the right make and price range, but does anyone know if theyll fit my wagon?

I dont know what 6k/c means it must be the platform code or something?

Mork what suspension have you got?

Well ive ordered a set of TA Technix coilies for the 6k platform cars.

Will let you know how it goes.
