Lowering The Beeza

Im going to lower the ibiza but i've noticed everyone seems to go for the coilover option e.g kw etc. Does anybody just run the springs with standard dampers and if so any issues. Where is the cheapest place to go for KW and what can I lower it by if I put 17 inch wheels on it,

Had springs on standard dampers when I got the car and the car was v.low and the ride was v.hard. Wanted a more comfortable ride as the roads where I live are really bumpy so fitted coilovers.

Dont buy cheap coilovers though as they will probably be worse and wont last. Search and there are quite a few threads on coilovers and what people think of certain makes.
