Hello all im a newbie as u can see so first i wanna say hi to you all :D

Ok now what i would like to know is how much to lowwer my cupra by as its sitting on standard set up but when i look at the front bumper i fear lowwering may cause some damage. So what would you guys suggest?

Welcome.

I was thinking oh no not another lowering thread but it's something not often covered.

I wouldn't worry at all. Most people lower their cars alot and with a Leon Cupra R splitter on, which takes the front down more by a few cm. If you are worried about damaging your bumper put on an LCR splitter as it's cheap and plastic so won't cost alot to replace once/if it gets minced. Not to mention looks great too :)

If you lower it around 30mm you shouldn't have any problems.

well i live in wales where there arnt many speed humps, but i have dropped my ibiza about 80-100mm on coilovers with 17's. missis moans abit but she'll get over it:D

dont forget to have your camber ect adjusted, you'll wear the tyres in no time! :p

i had mine slammed... followed a bus one day and didnt see a rock in the road.....

its not so low now, but remember its not just speed bumps you'll have to avoid! I picked up the rock and you can see it to the left of the car. Must of come off a lorry or tractor.

thak you very much for the replys, i will go for a 30mm drop as i do like the leon splitter, main concern is that my intercooler is front mounted and is on show so the fear of something smashing into that is making me nervus. I will post up some piccys ov the cupra today.

ye i may have to bring mine up a bit as the rear wheels touch the inside front of the wheel arch!! i had a vw polo 6n2 before nd that was lowered about 100mm, surprisingly didnt rub that bad lol.
