He just got it yesterday after smashing the alfa up so we spent today sorting it out and tidying things up. Had a "mini" photoshoot afterwards

He wrote the alfa off lol. Lost control and went across 3 lanes of traffic and into a tree. 14k worth of damage so hes downsized

Not really, it was and is company insurance.

I think it was just under £3000. Atm its a 1.3 with 50bhp. But its getting totally stripped, roll cage, buckets and chucking some Twin Webber carbs on to hopefully get 100bhp+

sounds like a wicked idea. 3k sounds about right, they are really holding their value now, even old knackered ones are 1k plus.

Haha! 100bhp from twin webers? You'll be lucky.

The 1.3 injections are 90bhp. That's quick in a car that size though! He should've bought my Mini off me - trying to sell it and it's in as good nick as that.

Very good nick though! Nice ickle car. Great fun and really cheap to mod.

Its all getting done proffessionally as far as i know, so most of the engine internals will be changed

Looks tidy! My mate's got a clubman estate which has a mini cooperS supercharger in it, scares the shite outa me! Hits roughly 170bhp after all other mods he's done! Where the 'clubman' badge would normally sit, it has a 'kompressor' badge, subtle...

It's scary what people can get out of old Mini's. I've heard of 412bhp VTEC engine's in them, 6.0 Chevy V8's and superbike engines that mean they can do 0-60 in 3 secs...
