M6 Crash

Just reading on bbc news, mk1 LCR crashed with a merc on the M6 near Cannock, killing a 11 day old baby boy. Real sad news hope its not anyone on here ?

Absolutely awful. Poor family, not sure how i would be able to cope had that happened to me when my son was just born.

Hope the crash was a result of a mechanical malfunction as opposed to the suspected dangerous driving.

well someones been arrested for dangerous driving so sounds like someone was to blame

Thats very sad news, shocking. Looks like the Merc into the LCR passenger side rear just where you'd put a baby seat. My thought are with the family.

From what I can work out of the story, the woman in the Seat was travelling with 3 young children in the car. The Mercedes car contained 2 adults between the age of 20 and 30. 1 Man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. I'm inclined to believe that would be the driver of the Mercedes.

I would also like to believe that somebody transporting a baby of 11 days old would not be driving dangerously.

yes from i can make out there was no male in the Leon, so seeing as a male was arrested it must be from the merc, as no other vehicles were involved

Unfortunately many do not have this common sense.
I've been severely tailgated, dangerously overtaken, and dangerously cut off by people with babies in the car. And also young children without child seats in the front passenger seat.

Shocking!!

It'a so horrible but it seems like your life is in the hands of the idiots around you. As demonstrated in this horrible accident.

Ouch. Thats literally happened a few hours after i went down there and come back OUCH! Also today i had to go to Luton and on way back the was another smash involving 2 lorries, a van and a car on the M6 but further down near Rugby. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-22689956

It doesn't matter how fast you can drive or how good your car is.... observation and consideration are still the biggest skills a driver can have.
