Hi Guys

After cleaning out the turbo, the inlet manifold and then giving the EGR valve a new home in the shed I found I'd got a flat spot in the rev range at about 2700 rpm.
I scanned but had no fault code, so after a bit of research I replaced all the vacuum hose with silicone and that reduced the flatness :)blink:) of the flat spot considerably.
Anyhow after a scan with the new silicone hose installation I've now got a code,

17552 P1144 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ Open/Short to Ground

Does that code mean I need to replace the MAF sensor or is there a fault in the socket/ power supply?

Many thanks,

Lee

Thanks for the reply sssstew.
I checked the visible connections and wiring and all were good, I then got some dielectric grease and added that to the mix with no improvement gained.
So I bit the bullet and shelled out a few pence under £69.00 for a new MAF from here www.maf-shop.com it took four days to arrive and minutes to fit. The difference in the drive is remarkable with the new MAF, I wish I'd done it earlier.

All the best,

Lee

hi there , did your Seat come fitted standard with a pieburg MAF instead of a Bosch one? have herd you can use pieburg instead of Bosch, but would like conformation from anyone who has done it, before buying one.
