Making a Cupra R Wishoooo from the Turbo!

Anyone know of a way to make the dump valve on a turbo to really wishooooo when you release the gas pedal.

I have heard that the Forge dump Vavle is quite good but still does'nt make the required noise loud enough.

I would like it to sound something like a Supra or R34 that have been modded.

If you want it to sound like a tuned Supra, you know what you need to buy don't you

Wooshy dump valves.......................i just wet myself !


Why do you want a really whooshy dump valve? Is it so people know you've got a turbo?

Just shout the fact out of the windows, get it sign written down your car or make the noise yourself when you change gear.

Seats will never have wooshy dump valves like Skylines, Evo's, Scoobs, Fords or anything else for that matter - they just don't like it up-em !

Put a microphone just next to the dump valve and connect it to the stereo.

anyway from a more sensible answer to try and help mate

the only way to make it more "whooshy" as you put it, is to install a dynatwist induction kit which can be bought from Bill at www.badger5.co.uk

second thing that will help alot more "whoosh" is to get the car chipped, as the car is now putting out higher PSI you will hear more of a dump valve like surge as the pressure (PSI) builds through the revs.

Jabba remap is £475 (or of course other companies do chips as well, i just prefer Jabba, no biast involved there of course) and dynatwist is about £180, but alot of money just to get the "whooshy" effect!

failing that, buy a supra!

I'm not going to flame you but If you want the Supra or R34 sound then sell the LCR and buy one of the above.

I would love my LCR to sound like a Lamborghini........I'll just have to start saving

Or just buy a Subaru and fit and Dump to atmosphere (i.e, not recric) valve.
