I have a 2022 Seat Ibiza 1.0 TSI 110 hp vehicle. The car currently has 55,000 kilometers on it (about 34,000 miles), and it’s due for another maintenance service in 5,000 kilometers, during which the V-belt, tensioner, and related parts will be replaced. While inside the car, I hear a noise similar to the one in the video. After doing some research online, I think it might be the V-belt tensioner making the noise, and I would like to get your opinions on this.
Also, the noise goes away when I press the gas pedal. During the video, I kept the air conditioning off and the fans were also off, but when I turned them on to test, the noise stayed exactly the same — there was no difference.
When I took the car to the authorized service, they told me the noise was normal and that it was coming from the air conditioning compressor pulley, and that this noise could occur whether the AC was on or off.
