Manifolds???

Before I turbocharged my XR2, I fitted twin 40s, a 4 branch manifold and full stainless system. This had a massive effect on the cars performance.

Why is it the replacement exhaust manifold has such a little effect on the Leon 1.8 20v engine? Surely is all adds to get the gasses flowing?

Did the same on all of my old 205 rally cars. I think people are saying that just the manifold will not improve because the ECU will not change fueling. Maybe with a chip + manifold it might make it go quicker.

Try putting 45's on with a manifold and it should go well + sound fantastic.
