it its 'fails' rather than simply reading low then you will get the traction control light come up on the dash.
some say the car will then run on other data and so will be a little slower. Ive not had this on my LCR, but on my cupra it was not possible to detect any difference.

mine too, can somebody please confirm that this is the correct part number for the new MAF, 06A-906-461-LX, oh and a green top sensor 059-919-501A

Mine went last week. It doesn't just fail it just gives out a low signal. Rough idle is the big giveaway also the engine is not as 'smooth' as it once was. It costs about 78 including the vat from dealers and you got to give them your old one or pay an extra 20!!! a massive diffence when it is changed.
Its £10 cheaper from Euro Car Parts for a genuine Bosch one. You need to send them your old one too or as mentioned above its an extra £20.

thanks, i'll call Kings seat tomorrow, to be honest i only feel comfortable using genuine parts, unless that is the likes of euro parts are genuine
As I said above, its a genuine Bosch MAF, exactly the same as you'll get from the SEAT dealer but £10 cheaper.
ive had a trade price of 50 pounds delivered, looks like more money i have to spend on the car, the green sensor i have a spare as well as a coolant sensor as well
I've just replaced my failing/failed MAF and its made a huge difference, will a broken MAF damage the DV in any way?
Oh and i've also changed to a green top sensor getting covered in coolant in the process, is this normal or have I missed something?!?

be aware .. if you get a euro car parts one and have any troubles... seat dealers will not accept your bosch units from euro car parts in exchange !!

is it possible for a boost leak to corrupt the MAF? ive had both come up on vag-com, but ive been told the boost leak could cause the MAF to read funny, so to fix the leak first? that sound right??

The euro car parts Bosch ones are stamped with the VW Audi badges. They are exactly the same units as the Seat dealer will sell you.
