max bhp/psi with standard pistons

Hi guy iv got a mk3 seat ibiza 20v turbo just a quick question wats maximum bhp and psi I can run it with standed pistons

I do belive that u can manage around 300 hp, but pistons are not the problem, rods are.

pistons and crank ive heard are good for 500bhp but the rods die at about 300 lbs/ft

seen stock rods running 360 ft/lbs for a long time but to be honest on the limit , but jabba tells me with big turbo set up like ihi vf22/34 set up keeping the boost under 1.4 bar will spare the rods. and also you have to take into account backpressue . the main reasons for k04 hybrid bending rods are alot to do with very restrictive k04 manifold cause alot of backpressure and also the fact alot were running close to 2 bar ooff boost which will bend rods

I can't think of anyone on this forum running so much power that oem pistons become a worry.

Indeed 500 seems a bit excessive on stock pistons , 400 yes but 500 I haven't seen

I think phill means that the pistons are good for such hi power no one has had to change them pete wonder if bill runs standard pistons?
