I just noticed the link for elite dubs has expired which is a bummer because that's the main one I was hoping you'd find. It had a complete trouble shooter for the 1.8t engine and was really indepth. It's worth a google incase it's somewhere else on the net.:)

my old cupra used to do that, every now and then just have a spaz and hit light limp, i found just turning the car on and off fixed it for a few weeks then would do it again.
its normaly (i found) its over boosted it self, the MAP sensor will chuck it in to light limp if the boost goes over around 15psi for to long (if not mapped correctly) it can cope with the odd spike now and then but cant if its there for to long, 1.2bar is around 17psi...
there is a mod for the map sensor though but you NEED TO KEEP AN EYE ON THE BOOST if you do it... i had to in the end on my LC and never had the issue again.

not maf, MAP sensor, its the sensor that is on the oem cupra intercooler, its a diode mod, like a resistor but only lets powere go one way and "caps" it, when ya map sensor hits it "safe" limit it will send a 5w signal to the ecu that put the car in to limp, if you cap the max it can send to 4.8w for example it cant put you in limp BUT be warned, just as the car isnt seeing the boost "propperly" does mean to much boost and boom, mine was spiking 18psi and would hold 15psi and was fine, never had any dramas. and that was running about 230bhp ish
will find a link, (not sure if i did a how 2 or not)

But or you saying you've lost boost? Can you hear any hissing? Do you have a boost gauge

driving home last night i gave it a blow out to 1.2bar,then took it slow for a bit, when put my foot down it would only go up to 0.4bar,but if i park up and then start it again it would b okay again

what do ya mean young?
if its in safe it wont let you boost past 4-5 psi so it cant over boost at all
have you looked at the thread i posted?

i didnt read your msg propperly
i had no issues at all with it iv not spoken to any one else who has done it and had any problems
problems start when they do the mod then get a MBC and dont have a boost gauge and dont know how far to take it, then they play with the nuts on the actuator and b4 they know it they spiking 28-30 psi and boom, but your not going to do that are ya??
