SEAT Media System 2.1
Hello, I’m new to this forum and this is my first post. I’m glad I found this thread from Google as it prevented me starting a new one on this subject which would have read:
“I have bought a new Leon Cupra R and have a question that this forum could probably help with regarding Secure Digital (SD & SDHC Card) compatibility with the SEAT Media System 2.1. I have a new 16Gb SanDisk SDHC Class4 card formatted to the recommended FAT32 and loaded with mp3s but the unit displays ‘Error: SD Card’ when inserted although it is read by a laptop ok. I have another SanDisk 1Gb SD (Not HC) that works ok, has anyone had a similar issue with the larger capacity SDHC cards? The manual suggests the unit is compatible with SDHC cards up to 32Gb.”
However, since reading this thread I tried something posted by ‘Al’ who said that his cards read ok after the car had warmed-up. I tried the card (cold) this morning with no joy, I just tried it after a 10 mile trip and it worked, so now just waiting to see if it’ll work after a cold night. If it fails tomorrow without disturbing the card then it seems there’s a temperature sensitive component/contact affecting the reading of SDHC cards!
