I have the Media System 2.1 in my Ecomotive. Similar to the Media System 2, it adds DAB radio, internal storage for the satnav mapping (no need to use either SD or CD for this) and some slightly fancier phone interface, but you don't get voice control.

Does anyone know the differences between MS2.1 and the upcoming MS2.2, to be fitted to the new FR+ model?

The old 2.0 you could upload to SD if you had one in, the 2.1 there is memory built in - 2.2 .... waiting to find out what differences. If its just the voice control then not that impressed, I am hoping an upgrade to the poor Nav system (as pointed out in the FR+ thread)

2.2 also adds full 7 digit postcode search. I am glad I decide not to choose it for my FR TSi did not think it was worth the money at £815 extra and certainly no better than my iPhone in a TomTom cradle with Co Pilot 8 for the very few times I actually use Sat Nav.

I do wish SEAT would do the RNS510 and RCD510 as options though. Would of definitely had the RCD510 had it been an option.

If I remember correctly the 510s were around £1500 option at the time though.

Yes they were no idea why they dropped it as on option for the fL version possibly low uptake? New one is now £815 so half the price but smaller screen in essence.

Ive heard a lot of moaning about the 2.1 sat nav, but in all honesty ive had 0 problems with it!

4 digit postcode gives area, and its not very often you don't know the street name where your going!

But i do agree, the rns510 is much nicer
